Music While Studying...

Postby Ashar » Wed Sep 26, 2007 10:00 pm

Well, this might sound very odd but I think I actually think better if I have some music playing in my ears...Just right now, I was stuck miserably on a Chemistry assignment, and now, after plugging in the music the answers are coming hard and fast...and they are correct as I am doing them Web-based and the website immediately tells you if you were right or wrong....

Anyone else do this while studying? I know it completely blows the concept of a quiet room...I for one, CANNOT study in a quiet room...It freaks me out ::) ;D ;D

Right now...

Math+Music (Classic rock)+SimV

and I guess it's going to be like that until 3am...

It also freaks me out to study in silent rooms... I always start making rhythms with my pen....

But only listen to old CD's that you know through and through... or else it'll distract you... playing music kills outside noises which draw your attention away from studying

I also liked to study Britney Spears.............

Serious now, I can't even read a news paper if there is some music playing. If I have to read something and need to concentrate it has to be quiet. Don't know why, I'm easily distracted I think.

Also I like to listen to music before doing a presentation... I found that listening to cradle of filth made me do a really good presentation... so I now always listen to some Death Metal before doing a presentation.....  :D

I always played gentle music in the backgroud while studying... even now today in my professional life, I need a radio playing in the background...

I always find it helps when doing really monotonous stuff like coursework essays, but for things that require more concentration i cant do it
