Top Gear is back for a special at 8pm BST tonight on BBC2.

Clarkson and May are racing Hammond to the North Pole in cars, Hammond is using dogs and a sled...should be great fun!

We get Top Gear out here in Australia, but they're problem several seasons behind. The las episode I recall was when Clarkson, Hammond, May turned average cars into Aqua cars. It didn't turn out that well.

Love the show and 'The Stig'.

Does anyone know if Top Gear is coming back for a full series anytime soon? Btw, Heroes is excellent, i've already seen all of season 1 on Sci-Fi; watch it!  8-)

new series is expected late september early october.
Right now clarkson and co are having problems deciding how the show should be. They were rather dissapointed with last season as it was just them pratting about the whole series, no real car stuff. But they also got the highest ratings ever. Clarkson though wantrs to head back to more the old style, where they review more cars and spend less time on these silly trips and such.

I do think they should do more of the 'car' stuff but they definatly shouldn't get rid of the 'pratting about' entirely. Maybe one special episode (like the one in America) in each series.

In the new series, still in production, they take the very same cars/boats and attempt to cross the English Channel from Dover to France.

Trust me when I say it's worth watching  :)
