Not to mention, the MONKEES (I stand corrected  :P) actually were created by Don Kirshner.  The Monkees were one of the first attempts to manufacture Rock-n-Roll.  Thanks to them, we now have focus groups choosing our music for us instead of actual artists creating it...

I've always like the Beatles but, I like the cover versions of some of they're songs better!!

Aerosmith - " Come Together "

Joe Cocker - " With A Little Help From My Friend " & "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window "

Crosby, Stills & Nash - " Blackbird "
