The National Viewers And Listeners Association (lead by Mary Whitehouse) a group of self-appointed guardians of public morals made such a fuss Kubrick got so fed up with all the hassle that he decided to withdraw the film from the British Cinemas and never allow it to be shown here again it any format. I believe that this ban is still in place even after his death, but I could be wrong.

The National Viewers And Listeners Association (lead by Mary Whitehouse) a group of self-appointed guardians of public morals made such a fuss Kubrick got so fed up with all the hassle that he decided to withdraw the film from the British Cinemas and never allow it to be shown here again it any format. I believe that this ban is still in place even after his death, but I could be wrong.

...quite a nasty bit of work I remember, the only time I have ever watched it... ...!

I don't think I fancy seeing it again now...

I found it as disturbing as "Soldier Blue", another film I wouldn't want to watch again...(amongst a lot of others, for the same reason).... ...!

Saw it long ago in the days when nothing would strike me as being too bizarre, even then, it struck me as being too bizarre, if I'm remembering correctly.  Don't know if I'd want to see it again.  Back then, one friend was a movie buff who had aspirations of becoming a director (he became a news reporter instead), so we would see a lot of films, a lot of foreign films too, and would go in always knowing who the director was.  Kubrick was certainly one of the biggest, so at that time it was a 'must see' for us.

What the Kubrik one? Iuuuf ? that's Old one, last time I saw was in a classic 30 or 35 years ago ,I can't remember the argument ,maybe I should rent it,If I can find in VHS or Betamax,or perhaps I will have to see it in 35mm in my proyector ,I know is on DVD just kidding

A very sick minded movie, but a classic!!

 Malcolm McDowell's version of " Singin' in the Rain " was a little different then Gene Kelly's!!

I never saw the film, but the book was decent. I wouldn't call it "sick minded" its the same type of book as 1984 or Riddley Walker...basically the author's way of warning us to take action or that is where society will end up.

I hadn't seen it since the 70's and i bought it a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant movie. I used to think it was very violent in the 70's but by todays standards i see it for what it really is - Satire!
