Not in the UK. The National Viewers And Listeners Association (lead by Mary Whitehouse) a group of self-appointed guardians of public morals made such a fuss Kubrick got so fed up with all the hassle that he decided to withdraw the film from the British Cinemas and never allow it to be shown here again it any format. I believe that this ban is still in place even after his death, but I could be wrong.

I see. And that'll be why it was on Film 4 just before christmas then. :-?
