The Matrix Revolutions....!

We sat and watched this load of eye-wash the other night on the Television...
...and wondered why... ...!

We all had a long discussion afterwards as to what it was all about, and why the film company bothered making it in the first place...!
The first film was "curious", but after that the whole series got more and more daft by the episode...!!!
We had the impression that, during filming, the Director constantly ran out of ideas, and everyone regularly got together in the canteen and suggested possible scenarios and for the next scene, which might work...!
Sadly, we didn't think any of them were particularly successful...
So they got the graphics artists and animators in to fill in the gaps...as they do......
What a load of old Cods-Wallop...!
Is there a chance that we wont be inflicted with any more similar crap episodes of "The Matrix"......!

Let's tell Messrs Larry and Andy Wachowski (Directors) they have now flogged it to death...!

I don't know about you lot out there, but films like this stretch the imagination to breaking point and cease to be Family Entertainment....LOL... ...!

Well, some critics believe that the downfall of the Matrix trilogy was because it was mostly based on the Japanese anime concept that is understandable to the Japanese but completely confusing to us crazy yanks.

Notice that some of the people involved in its production are Japanese; notice how samuri swords are one of the commonly-used weapons; notice the level of clitche and the use of a so-called "mega city" as the background; and finally the verbose comments used by almost all of the characters [especially the evil ones].

Look at "Yu-Gi-Yo The Movie". It may have been a hit in Japan, but it really had negative wrap by the American critics.

But I wouldn't discredit the Wachowski Brothers just yet. Look at "V for Vendetta". It became a real hit. A sign that the brothers might be getting back on track, although that movie also had some of the anime traits.

So, until we Americans can better understand Japanese culture, The Matrix trilogy might one day just fade away in the history books as a spoof and the chances of us ever understanding such culture is "ziltch".

You're not the only one, Beef. Thankfully, I have enough understanding of Japanese culture to enjoy any entertainment based on the anime concept.

I loved the first film.  It was just flat out awesome.  I think the last two were terrible, but at the very least the last one could be watched as an inane action movie.  Boom boom boom! The final fight had some redeeming value.  Some.

Also, anime and Japan are not coterminous.  I dare say America is more into anime than Japan.

The fight scenes in the second were some of the best ever performed in a movie, and I mean ever.  On that alone it was a good movie, convoluted plot or not. The chase scene with the two pale guys on the freeway was cinematic choreogrpahy at its most brilliant.

You most definitely have a point there.  If judged on an action movie's criteria, the last one was stellar.  The highway scene, the sentinels breaking into Zion, Neo & Smith, etc.  Blastastical!

Matrix, has a very strong philosofic culture we all always has Experiment that we are living in some kind of dream ,since we were kids.Are we living this reality, or someone or something is making me see this reality in this way?..This is the primary philosophy of this great picture ,is kind of complicate it ,so they did have to "MIX" it with effects,and japanese,chinese fighting with also a new combine of effects to exagerate and make more "fantastic" this wonderful movie,and about the second reloade it ,and revolutions is to add something to an already Piece of Art,both has nothing else,in fact seems like a soapopera...is my personal opinion

EDIT:Beyond of special effects fightings etc,I think the most important argument of this revolutionary motion picture is Its philosophy as science fiction.....

The first one was incredible and in every possible way superior to the next two. Reloaded was below-par and Revolutions isn't that much better, but the final fight is very good.

As action movies go ........... all three are better than most of the recent crop. As Sci-Fi movies ..... yet again better than most of the recent crop. As a story ........ it's pretty good.

However by far and away the best movie trilogy is the Lord of the Rings.

I never understood what was going on in Star Wars, but all that matters is when those spaceships would get out there and start going phew phew phew!!! That was pretty much the only reason to watch Star Wars.  It was like a big tech demo.
