[quote]James Bond director Lee Tamahori was arrested for allegedly approaching an undercover police officer and offering to perform a sex act for money.

Los Angeles city attorney's office said Mr Tamahori was dressed in a black wig and dress when arrested in Hollywood.

New Zealand-born Mr Tamahori, 55, is free on bail and is due to appear in court on 24 February.

The misdemeanour charges carry a maximum sentence of six months jail and a $1,000 (

It's ok, he's got nothing to do with the new one...

...apparently Casino Royale's going to be darker, more serious, and with less gadgets...

Nothing like ruining a perfectly good formula...

The Bond series has forever been lost since the death of Albert R. Broccoli.

I remember one of the things Broccoli wanted in his "legacy" (for lack of a better word) was to protect Bond because "People are going to want to change it."  Ironically, I think this was from the bigshots in some bonus feature of the Die Another Day DVD, whom probably have the biggest part of the destruction of Bond.  I'll see this next Bond, but I think it's a lost cause.
