Whatever could be said about his life, he was funny.  And laughter is something we need more than ever.

R.I.P.   You were great.  :'(

His illness probably really started to affect him about the time you were born Andrew.

A very funny man, although to be fair we were robbed of his talent several years ago (Although I was unaware he'd been nominated for an Emmy award in 1995 for playing the role of an MS patient in Chicago Hope). The world will be a little less hilarious without him... :(

Nasty thing...MS.  I heard about it.

To be diagnosed was the hardest thing because I didn't know what they were talking about," he said. "And the doctor said `Don't worry, in three months you'll know.'

This is interesting:

At a 1992 performance, he asked the room, "Is there a doctor in the audience?" All he got was nervous laughter. "No, I'm serious. I want to know if there's a doctor here."

A hand finally went up.

"Doctor," Pryor said, "I need to know one thing. What the (blank) is MS?"

"So I went about my business and then, one day, it jumped me. I couldn't get up. ... Your muscles trick you; they did me."

Haha... I'd forgotten that role... a bright spot in a dismal movie.

I think that was in homage to how he talked (he is mild compared to comedians today).
