This morning I was half way through washing up my breakfast crockery when what should excite my ear'oles on my radio set in the kitchen...?
...the theme music to "CFI: Crime Scene Investigation" on TV Channel 5....
"We won't get fooled again", by The Who, (with the crazy, master drummer Keith Moon!"*....!
(I had forgotten just how long the piece is...WOW...)...!
I had to quickly plug my trusty 'Strat into the Marshall amp, wind the volume up 'till the valves glowed**, and accompany the masters and their master-piece...!
(...playing an "air guitar" is not quite the same thing...)!
LOL...!
..then what comes next on my radio...?
"Jumping Jack Flash", by the Rolling Stones.
WOW...More excitement!
Makes you realise what fantastic, proper, rock music was played in the past...!
I never cease to admire the talented musicians from the '60's and '70's.
The Golden Age of Music. We rarely see that again today..!
Cheers all...!
Paul....waiting for the four 807 push-pull power valves, (and my heart rate), to cool down..!
LOL...!
...*anyone who has watched the "Muppet" characters on the 'tele will recognize the psycho drummer taking off Keith Moon!
...**a cause of great consternation amongst my close neighbours...LOL...!
(They love it really, I think?)...!
LOL...!
P.S. Have you noticed that most 60'/70's music was designed to make you, un-controllably, tap your feet and strum your "air guitar"...!
LOL...!
