best band you've seen live?

You people are lucky to see Pink Floyd Live. I saw The Machine Live, they are dead on Pink Floyd. All my dad and I said after the concert was WOW!

But if I had to pick just one, Green Day/Blink 182 is a nice combination.

Was that the Pop Disaster tour? I went to that when it came through Kansas City. that was my 2nd, or 3rd time seeing jimmy eat world.

The best to me it was a Yes concert here in Brazil - Porto Alegre City.....but wakeman wasnt there...

I would have to say that ZZ Top in Reno was a sick concert, even though they are not my favorite band.

It was right after we had finished watching the air races, a very cold night but it was well worth it


If you ever get a chance to see them live DO IT, you won't regret it

im lucky enough to have been to loads of gigs/concerts, but i think my favourites have blacksabbath-the last supper at birmingham and ozzfest 97 at milton keynes.
system of a down absolutley rocked at reading festival a couple of years ago, they were amazin, but my all time fav's have gotta be metallica. ive seen em loads of times, and they are just soooo good. loud, fast, but so tight...everything metal should be..i was even lucky enough to meet james hetfield at the earls court gig in 96  or was it 97...jeez, my memories bad...

So far the best live I have been was last summer's Rockwave Festival in Athens with a number of important bands like W.A.S.P., Nightwihsh, Judas Priest and more. If I had to ditinguish one of them I would say the best was the part of Judas Priest.

 I've seen Priest a couple of times (Turbo tour was one of them) and yes, they do put on a great show, so did Iron Maiden back in the day, the last time I saw Maiden though they didn't have as big of a show as they used to.

I will have the chance to see Maiden again next June in Athens. I don't expect them to be what I have seen in the past but they will be better by far than Scorpions (I felt the need to say it). I have seen them 2 times in the last 5 years in Athens and they sucked. I like their past work (until Savage Amusement) but in their lives they tend to play the whole latest CD, 70% of the previous one and a couple of olders songs.

So many shows to remember, but: As far as a big rock concert goes, probably Rush at the Palladium (before they turned that beautiful hall into a tacky disco) on the "Hemispheres" tour. That was... damn, I'm old... that was way way back in 1978 or 1979. I was a huge fan at the time, and it blew me away... the warmup band was Starz (sort of an Aerosmith ripoff); they were pretty crappy.
