I always smile when I hear the "pissed" expression used.  The first time I heard it (the European usage) I was at a party of students from an international school.  Being only 18 myself I was relatively new to drinking.  I overheard our German host say something about getting pissed, so I spent half the night wondering what made him so angry! :D :D :D
