No wonder, when they have to choose between such strong candidates as us! :D

Pete said it himself; they'll let us know, as soon as they have made a decision ;) :)

I'm glad i'm not the only one that has ever turned down a promotion. The Army wants me to get promoted to Sergeant, but I keep saying no. Unfortunately, i'm being forced to turn in paperwork for a promotion packet... ::)

I don't know how it is in the Army, but as a Marine, Sergeant is the best rank to be, plenty of power, and minimal politics, just yell scream and shout, get the job done, and go home.  Let the SNCO's deal with the officers  8-)  Plus the pay is nice.

I just need to get the wife to recognize my rank...she seems to think she's a 3 star general....

I have to argue this...it's when you become Staff Sergeant when you lose the friends, that's when you become involved with the officer crap

With all due respect to all of you I can't believe you're using military analogies when comparing being a moderator of a web forum.

It's no different to being a normal member, just with a few extra buttons to push if needed.

And the members who stir it up, suggesting that if you take up an offer of moderating you'll be disliked by the rest are the only ones who create an "Us and Them" mentality.
