I love it when I start researching one thing and come across something totally different. I start off looking for pictures of the General Lee from the old TV show and find this-

I tried checking this out at Snopes.com and other than their forum at - http://msgboard.snopes.com/message/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/60/t/001475.html
- They have nothing on this picture on their main site. Their forum and several other sites seem to think the picture was photoshopped. I haven't a clue.

I guess until the creator of the picture or the photographer step forward we'll never know for sure. Or people that have actually seen this vehicle in real life and have other photos come forward.

Well, if you check, I believe you'll find that pink was found to be a very effective dessert camouflage during WWII. The "Idiot Commanders" in this case were with the 22 SAS Regiment of the British Army and they used Series 2A 109 Land Rovers and called them "The Pink Panthers". The Pink Panthers were used right up until the late 1980s when they were replaced by Land Rover 110-based Desert Patrol Vehicles (DPV).

I'm not disputing whether or not the hummer is or is not photo shopped. Frankly, I could careless. But Armies and soldiers in the field of combat do adapt wild color to combat situations all the time. Or do you so easily forget the Red Baron and the Flying Circus?
