Surely that can't be a real name??

If that isn't made up, his parents deserve a slap.

Umm... yes -- and I'm not telling you his parents' names/initials. :-[

Not much worse than Bertrand Dumbert.

One of the teachers at my school...

Surname... McKracken (or something similar)
Pronounciation in Scottish... Mc-kray-kun
Pronounciation in English... M-crackun

"What's your name sir?" "Mr McKracken. But most people just call me Phil"

It's harsh, but it is so funny. Too bad he doesn't even realise it  :-[

I once had a customer called Mrs Badcock.

Lord knows what her maiden name was to make her take that in marriage.  ::)

Blair House is the official state guest house for the President of the United States.

I didn't know our Tone had that much influence. ;D

There's a girl who's due to ship for the navy the same day as me. Her name is Kayla Cockburns. During our weekly Delayed Entry meetings, it's always fun to hear "COCKBURNS" shouted across the room during muster. I think our Master Chief says it extra loud so the army boys next door can hear. ;D ;D

Well, not to be a spoil-sport, but given my own name; I don't find unusual names all that funny - Mr. Bumgardner's (could that be 'Baumgartner' misspelled?) name is relatively benign.

My name: Dave Organ caused a lot of grief for me at basic training back in '86; thrown in with a hundred forty other kids that thought funny names were hilarious. Being 18 and sensitive, I took a lot of abuse and got into a lot of fights about it.

Of course, 9 years, three tours of duty, a couple promotions and a hell of a lot of learning later, people didn't find the name 'Organ' nearly so funny. The conversations went something like this:

(looks at clipboard) Master Corporal Organ...Organ! Ha ha ha! 'Organ'! Who's Organ? Ha! Ha!"
"Umm...M/Cpl Organ? That's him, right over there...See that great big guy yelling at the platoon over there?"
"Ha! Ha! Uh....oh..."
"Yeah...oh, by the way; he's your unarmed combat instructor. Good luck!"

;D
