It's gotta be the first time I've seen the ACU's actually blend in with something... ;D

Wear them every single day for 7 months straight (even longer for Army deployments) in 130 degree heat, and I bet you change that tune real quick  ;D  I don't know if they feel the same as USMC cammies (MCCU's) but I know the one thing I look forward to most at the end of the day (besides a cold beer) is getting OUT of that uniform.

lol, so true.... ;D

I've obviously never worn the MCCU's, but they look more durable, and more practical than the ACU's. I do like the fact the the Marines have a desert uniform, AND a woodland uniform. They also don't have the velcro crap all over them ::)

Very true, two week long summer camp at Fort Jackson in the 120 degree heat :'(.....My kingdom for a cold shower, and some normal clothes... ;) ;D

Isn't the British equivelant just DPM? (Disruptive Pattern Material)

Either way... I can nearly get away with something similar. My bed cover is camo, and I have a full set of camo. The only problem is that they are slightly different shades... so no hiding there.  :-/

I tried a set of MCCU's once, when the Marines were up at Wainwright for joint training. It felt like wearing garbage bags, in my opinion.

For most of my career we wore simple OD combat uniforms - for comfort and durability they were unrivalled but the top brass could never get around the Korea 'camo doesn't work' mentality. We use CADPAT now; similar material and make with excellent camo qualities. Here's a pic:

(Note: the bright Canadian Flag is only worn for garrison duty and exercises. During a deployment, the flag is replaced with a subdued light/dark green flag.)
