Q. What would a Windows XP plane be like?

A.  There would be a beautiful, multicolored terminal at the airport.  Check-in and borading would be nearly flawless.  Takeoff will be smooth, then suddenly boom.  The plane explodes and is unrecoverable.

Q.  What would a UNIX plane be like?

A.  Check-in would be like the busiest travel day of the year at O'Hare.  You'd be lucky if your plane even boarded, half of the flights are cancelled.  And when you do board, the flight crew instructs each of the passenger to take a part from the plane out of the box it came in, run over to the runway, and put it together.  When ready for takeoff, the entire cabin would have to pedal to get the plane enough airspeed to takeoff.

What would a BeOS aircraft be like?

Check-in would be a little confusing at first but get's easier and would get smoother once you get the hang of it. Flight would be perfect and as smooth and faster then the concorde, and you would get there in perfect condition.

I just love BeOS ;D

Isn't BeOS a Mac OS? My dad had BeOs for a while but switched to OS 8. I don't like Macs but their laser printers couldn't be beat.

What Would a Mac Airline be like?

Check-in would be efficient but very slow. Boarding would be quick and easy, no hassle. Planes would come in flashy colour schemes. The planes have plenty of bells and whistles but most of them don't work for one reason or another. Also there are a very limited number of flight routes they can operate on. Tickerts would be ludicrusly expensive.

It doesn't have anything to do with MAC.

It was designed by an independant organization but they were sold out by Palm OS for the technology.

Unlike 'windoze', BeOS is an extrimily stable platform.

I don't know for sure if you still can, but you used to be able to download it for free.

It's the perfect platform for development and multimedia

Got this from an ex-Msoft employee, my wife. Longer version of your joke.

GM Vs Gates

For all of us who feel only the deepest love and
affection for the way computers have enhanced our
lives, read on. At a computer expo, Bill Gates
reportedly compared the computer industry with the
auto industry and stated "If GM had kept up with
technology like the computer industry has, we would
all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the
gallon.

In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued
a press release stating:

If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we
would all be driving cars with the following
characteristics:
1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash
twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road,
you would have to buy a new car.
3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for
no reason. You would have to pull over to the side of
the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car,
restart it, and reopen the windows before you could
continue. For some reason you would simply accept
this.
4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left
turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to
restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the
engine.
5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the
sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as
easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of
the roads.
6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning
lights would all be replaced by a single "General
Protection Fault" warning light.
7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before
deploying.
8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car
would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you
simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key
and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.9. Every time GM introduced a new car, car buyers
would have to learn to drive all over again because
none of the controls would operate in the same manner
as the old car.
10. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the

Microsoft Plane?
The GPS would say YOU ARE IN A PLANE, the altimiter would say THIS HIGH, the throttles would say THROTTLE.EXE HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE/LOSS OF ALTITUDE/LOSS OF LIFE and the speedometer (or watever it's called) would probably say FAST ENOUGH

And one more thing: All the Mac pilots would bug the MS pilots about how much better their airline is. ::)
