A new immigrant Somalian arrived in Minneapolis, stopping the first person he saw and said, "Thank you, Mr. American, for letting me in this country, giving me housing, food stamps, free medical care and free education!"
The passerby said, "Sorry, I am Mexican."
The Somalian moved on until he encountered another passerby, "Thank you for having such a beautiful country!"
The person replied, "I'm not American, I am Vietnamese."
The new arrival walked further and stopped the next person he saw, shaking his hand and exclaiming, "Thank you for letting me into America!"
That person pulled up his hand and informed, "I am from the Middle East. I am not American!"
Finally seeing a lady who nicely smiled, he asked, "Are you an American?"
"No," she responded, "I am from Africa."
Now very puzzled, the Somalian inquired, "Where are all the Americans?"
The African lady looked at her watch and exclaimed.....
"Probably at WORK!"
