Yes, these are real... We used one in my physics class a few weeks ago.

We were trying to prove that if you aim a gun directly at a target and simultaneously fire the gun and drop the target, they will hit every time. The theory is true, and the monkey makes a very amusing scream when hit with a metal ball.

Oh well... that's what you get when you give 16 seniors a monkey, electromagnet, and a blowgun on a Friday.
