Wow... That's almost a novel! Good story though, I'll be saving that one.

I've heard another version of that. In short, it was a trucker and his pet snake Nate. Nate somehow gets lose and crosses the road in front of the truck. The trucker decides to run over his snake rather than pull the emergency brake lever which apparently would cause the truck some kind of irreparable damage. Better Nate than lever.

P.S. when I pasted that into MS Word it took 20 pages.
