Court Docket 12659

What are you laughing at?

Court Docket 12659

I'm not sure this belongs in the humour section: I'm actually questioning the tag that came with it...

CASE OF THE PREGNANT LADY.

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus and noticed, opposite her, a man aged about 20 was smiling at her.
She immediately moved to another seat. Now his smile turned into a grin, so she moved again.
The man seemed more amused and she moved once again. This time the man burst out laughing; she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court. The judge asked the man what he had to say for himself.

The man replied, "Well your Honor, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat down under a sign that said, 'The Double Mint Twins are Coming' and I grinned.
Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, 'Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling,' and I had to smile.
Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, "William's Big Stick Did the Trick," and I could hardly contain myself...
BUT, your Honor, when she moved the next time and sat under a sign that said, 'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident'... I just lost it."

"CASE DISMISSED!"

Now, can someone verify if this was actually Australian Court Docket 12659 ?

Aye, no surprise -- but I still don't know if the factual claim is true.
Do any of our Australian members know -- or would you differ confession, anyway?

No, it never happened in Australia. We don't have "Logan's Liniment" or "William's Big Stick" being sold here, so we wouldn't have them on advertisements. More to the point a quick check on Google shows these companies don't exist

Thank you.
However, I've found by experience that even an extensive search on Google isn't always exhaustive.
I've had articles in my very hand that Google couldn't find or verify existed. Understand, also, that Google is searching for mentions via internet: it may be difficult to believe, but there are still companies, howbeit, small ones, that don't use online technology.
;)
