ok so i was chekcing out those comercials,  there pretty funny even tho i have a deep hatred for macs  :P   so i started reading comments on youtube and this comment, wow, well gotta read it to believe it:

The only reason Macs dont get viruses is because no one can be bothered writing them for Macs. They can't even get negative attention, its kind of depressing.

That is so true. You don't hear anything about them. And because of that, one would assume that Apple is doing a dang good job covering up the bad wrap. ;D

Imagine if the Mac was in Windows' shoes for a year [being the most widely used in the market]. Hackers and worms will have a ball making it lose its reputation as a "virus-free" platform. ;D ;D ;D

accually... Macs have been the target of many virus attacks over the years... but in part to the fewer numbers of Mac owners.... and good PR on the part of Apple... you dont here much about it...

moreover... most of the attacks on Macs are aimed at corporate and network systems.... that is a big part of the reason you dont here much about it.... they dont want to advertise that they got hit...

Apple has done very little in the way of shoring up their sytems to provent attacks as well... due to the few incidents...

its not that it cant happen... or doesnt... but 90% of home users... who would put personal info on their computers... and also dont have as secure a systems as their corporate conterparts... are the largest targets.... own PC's running windows OS's.

Making them the biggest target.

Sense the largest group of Mac owners are corporate users... they often have better security for their networks, IT folks to fix problems... its the networks that are more secure against outside threats..... not the Macs

Frankly my oncle asked me today if he could ran FS9 on his new shiny 24' Mac, so I said he couldn't. He was pissed on me for(in his opinion) flaming his Mac, and then his 9yr old son came and said with him silly brain: 'maybe you should go to flightsimulator.nl, you can play it there'.

So my dear oncle ordered me to go to flightsimulator.nl(which isn't a MSFS site) and play it there....
then I got pissed: 'DON'T TELL ME WHERE AND WHERE YOU CAN'T PLAY FLIGHT SIMULATOR!!! I'M THE ONLY ONE IN THE FAMILY PLAYING IT AND ALSO THE PERSON WHO KNOWS THE MOST ABOUT PC'S AND FLIGHT SIM!!!'

he didn't believe it, so we went to him house(Holland is a small country) and installed FS on his Mac with Virtual PC, put in my payware backups, installed it all and ran FS...

...There his 'Shiny Mac' went! I've hit FS9.exe and virtual PC actually simulates the blue screen!!! ;D

So now I have a major argue with my oncle about running FS9 on a Mac, which if he would've read a single letter about those bleedin' Macs, he would've known it's impossible...
>:( ;D

I hate family meetings.....
