Bushisms

What are you laughing at?

Bushisms

Postby lilley91 » Mon Apr 24, 2006 7:56 am

Some people have said that it might not be a great idea to post these, but this is the humour section, where nothing is supposed to be taken seriously.  And i hope that no americans among us will take offence at this, i actually think Bush is absolutely fine, its just that he doesnt always think before he says things.  All these, and more, are on my poster in my room. Sooo funny!!

I think was is a dangerous place.

The future will be better tomorrow.

It's clearly a budget, it's got a lot of numbers in it.

If we dont succeed, we run the ris of failure

I am proud to shake the hand of the brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein. ::)

For NASA, space is still a high priority

ONE word sums up probably the responsibility, and that ONE word is "to be prepared"

We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO, we have i firm commitment to Europe, we are a part of Europe

I have made good judgements in the past, i have made good judgements in the future

We're going to have the best educated American people in the world

Im the master of low expectations

I'm a follower of American politics

And to top it off - Public Speaking is very easy

And to top it of even more - I stand by all the misstatements i have made.

So... this means that he thinks that america is a part of europe, he thinks that "to be prepared" is one word etc. etc.

Dont worry, i know he didnt mean it all, but i still find it funny
hopefully i have'nt insulted anyone by posting this, but i couldnt resist.

cheers

thats on my poster aswel

"rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?"

" i know how hard it is to put food on your family"

"quite frankly, teachers are the only profession that teach our children"

"The Holocauste was an obscene period in this nation's history, i mean in this century's history, But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century"
(If you're confused by that, dont worry its not a typo, im just as confused as you!)

"Welcome to Mrs. Bush and my fellow astronauts"

"Its time for the human race to enter the solar system"

"I think that anybody who doesn't think i'm smart enough to handle the job, is underestimating"

"I recently met with the finance minister of the Palestinian Authority, was very impressed by his grasp of finances"  (Again, if you're wondering, no typo there, he did miss out the I)

Speaking as an English teacher I still love his "If we teach our children to read and write they could pass a literacy test"... no really? ;D
It doesn't matter where you are in the world all politicians are exceedingly silly and say dumb things! And thank goodness they do or where would political satire be? ;D
