lol, its never experienced "weightlessness".

Still, thats one lucky cat, I wish I could do that sometime.

Maybe I could overclock the space station's computers as a job. I could use the vacuum of space to cool the CPU's.

Not alone, but I meant that space is really really cold and serves as a great cooling solution provided you can get there.

LMAO, I hope that cat was de-clawed.

From what I understand, the shuttle, and probably most other space craft already use space for cooling. They have large radiator type devices to pump coolent through. I believe it's mentioned in this article. http://science.howstuffworks.com/space-shuttle.htm

I'd imagine it would work most excellently, as long as the sunlight does not touch it.

Problem with cooling off equipment in space is that heat doesn't radiate very efficiently without some medium like air to transfer and dissipate the energy (remember, heating and cooling are all about molecules moving, right?)... the radiators on spacecraft help a little, but the best thing is to be in the shade. That's why the Apollo spacecraft were "spun" while enroute to the Moon (to minimize exposure of any one part of the ship), and when Shuttle crews are working EVA in the open cargo bay, they keep the ship belly-up to the sun. The sun is wicked harsh out there, with no air to filter its rays...
