You might be a flight sim dork if...

What are you laughing at?

You might be a flight sim dork if...

Postby Stormtropper » Wed Mar 23, 2005 5:55 pm

You respond in the phonetic alphabet

You ever turned down a social event to play Flight Sim

You ever turned down sex to play Fight Sim

You ever participated in a 'Massive Mutiplayer Event' in Flight Sim

When someone askes you where you're from, you respond with your local airport's ID code

Gotten to know people through Flight Sim

Have not seen sunlight in 6 month (no, virtual sunlight rendered by the Flight Sim graphics engine does not count)

Bought a new computer so you won't fall behind in the 'Screenshot Competion'

Know who PMDG, Alphasim, and Aeroplane Heaven is

Resort your priorities upon every release of flight simulator

...well thats what I got so far, now you guys finish the list ;)

When you Hijack a 747 to fly underneath a bridge because you did it in flightsim (actually happened)

When in a Emergency with both pilots out you are able to land a 747 ;D

when you're driving on the freeway and hit 70 miles an hour and start to pull back on the wheel... ;-)

I was doing that a long time ago, when I started RL flight training.

Lol, you hit me right on. While I was driving, there were hundreds of big rain clouds as far as you can see, and I thought, "Wow, this would've killed my computer in fs."

when you know how people will respond in the forums.

if you devote at least an hour browing the forums, every day (like me)

you are willing to spend money on payware, if there is no freeware competition

you've located you house on flight sim (again, like me)

you've charted where everyone lives, does flyby's, and goes, "oh, whatever"

if you've got that sudden 5 minute urge to fly under a bridge just before a formal dinner

if you have a backup joystick

you tell people to try it out, when they do, your always giving them hints & tips

you respond to the polls with a different answer than whats listed.

you've responded to the "This or That", "what song are you listening to" and "Random word thread" 5 times, each.

you've got a dedictated SimV list on AIM

you have someones awesome pic as your background.

you've been a Smurf and an Ozzy at one point.

you have a dedicated hard drive just for flight sim addons (50GB!!!)

you actually notice there's only 3 girls here that actually post something.

you check the flight sim section of microsoft every day.

you think more times about flight sim every day than you do girls.
