I'm allergic to cats, so that is kind of difficult to like!
However my dog (currently living with my mum) loves Solitaire and regularly tries to help my mum when she is playing it by leaping on the keyboard ;D
Or if you move the mouse pointer she'll follow it round, the only problem in you get wet nose marks all over the monitor :P ;D

I like dogs better, they are always there, they are real friends. I have 2 tonkinies (i prob spelled that wrong) (i think the same as the kind in the first pic) and the one if pretty smart, but i mean, they do what ever they want, dont care about me. the other, at least my mom says, is smart, but i think he is pretty thick skulled. I can put that cat on his back and out he goes, he couldnt care less. But non the less nothing compares to the compainionship a dog will give.

Furthermore, my cats can be darn annoying at times. the one (the thick one) will sit outside my door sometimes at 6:10 in the morning, (while i am hitting the snooze button a few times, which i have planned so after hitting it a few times i am at the right time) and starts to meow, and keeps going. It is like he wants to get into my room. This keeps going until i finally actually role out of bed. I go to the door, open it, and he runs away. Dumb cat!

My wife and I had an exceptional Persian Cat. We called her SAC (Silly Assed Cat or Stupid Assed Cat was warranted  ;D ). But she was far from stupid. Much to our total amazement we discovered that the cat was sensitive to my wife's epilepsy and would warn us of an impending seizure.  :o

At first we thought it a coincidence that the cat would go ape and try to get to her. This happened every single time my wife was having problems with her epilepsy. We use to keep the bedroom door closed to keep her off our bed (gotta love long haired cats that shed). Well, she was outside the door about to break it down when my wife was having problems. I got tired of listening to her raise hell and opened the door. The cat made a beeline straight for my wife and started kneading with her paws on my wife's chest. I laughed and told my wife, "Well, how do you like that, puddy tat CPR." My wife started to laugh and snapped out of it.

The cat would also watch TV and liked the Discovery Channel the best. One program in particular dealt with fish and birds. The cat would sit there and watch it intently. When a commercial came on, she'd give a discussed meow and start cleaning her fur or take a quick trip to the cat box. She knew the theme music and would come hauling ass the minute she heard it and plop down for the 30 minute show. God help you if you tried to change the channel! Much to our sadness, the cat died just before Christmas several years ago. She was extremely unique for a cat.

lol, that's cool Romulus our four cats aren't quite that talented and/or interested in the television, but there is the one who will sit up with me all night working on homework waiting for me to go to bed, and she's still there every time I wake up throughout the night on the corner of my bedkeeping me warm.

It is interesting who when a person doesn't feel good the cats are there to sit with you, where a dog will just want to play or go outside typically anyways...

i have to disagree with the dog always wanting to play. my dog wont even go outside for more then 5 min if there isnt anyone out there with him. If you are relaxed he is relaxed.

See, this proves cats aren't that smart (I like cats, but I like to cause controversy more). I mean look at that! It is horrible! Using Windows 98 in THIS day and age!?!?!?!?! You've got to be kidding me! No dog of mine would use Win98.

i'm gona agree with alrot here, when was the last time u heard of a cat saving anything but itself or its offspring? personally, i dont think i have ever heard of it. and ever thought there might be a reason why the police use dogs instead of cats?

That's why I say that Cat's are like the free-will managerial type..

You're gonna do it my way, but I'm not sure what my way is, especially if there is sunshine in between here and there..  :P

I like cats better.....

A dog is like a dumb blonde.....always by yourside and fun in the short run....

Cats acutaly go around doing something useful, like chasing rats, rats w/furry tails, and them things that drills holes in planes....

....and doesn't leave yellow spots on the carpet... ;D

And sure...I seen those news reports about dogs saving lives and taking a bullet for its owners.....but anyone with an IQ above 5 would know better than to risk their ass for someone else...... ::)

Gotta agree with Stormtropper. Dogs save their owners because they are wholly reliant on them for survival. Cats can live with out a human and so they're less inclined to help out.

Whats more, nothing makes a house smell more than a dog.

Naturally... The Dog had to be bathed afterwards :P
