LOL... Here in the States we have a show called Mythbusters, and they did the same thing to a crash test dummy.. ;D

They disproved the myth sort of.

The barrel was too strong and would not break. But they used a new barrel. They had to weaken the barrel (ripping out the support rings) for it to work.

They themselves said that with an old barrel used many times could perhaps make the above situation possible.
