Good Samaritan

What are you laughing at?

Good Samaritan

Postby jimclarke » Thu Dec 11, 2003 12:17 pm

A guy has a few drinks at a bar.  He sees a drunk guy passed out at a nearby table.  The bartender tells him the drunk is Mr. Murphy and asks the man if he will drive the drunk home.  Being a good samaritan the man agrees.  The bartender writes down the address and gives it to him.  The man tries to wake Mr. Murphy but Mr. Murphy is quite drunk and groggy he won't wake up.  The man helps Mr. Murphy to his feet and Mr. Murphy falls to the floor in a heap.  "Jeez," the man says wondering how anyone could get so drunk.  He takes Murphy by the arm and practically drags him to the car.  He leans Mr. Murphy against the side of the car so he can get his keys and again Mr. Murphy falls to the ground.  The man finds his keys and manages to get Mr. Murhy into the car.  He drives to the address the bartender gave him.  Once there he drags Mr. Murphy to the door and props him up against the wall, but Mr. Murphy once again collapses to the ground.  He Knocks on the door and Mrs. Murphy answers.
"Hi, Mrs. Murphy, your husband has had too much to drink so I brought him home."
"That ws nice of you," says she, looking around.  "But where is his wheelchair?"

LMAO....until the punch line...this was beginning to sound allot like an Army buddy of mine that I had to take home once. I had to throw the dummy over my shoulder to try and get him to his apartment (flat for all you Brits  ;D). He sounded like he had puked right down my back...then I hear this, "Just kidding"...that time he hit the ground with some help...I tossed his sorry butt down. He said he figured, "Why walk, when I was carrying him", besides, as he put it, "He was to drunk to walk"...the jerk...lol

Funny thing is...I've never been that much of a drinker, so I always ended up the designated driver and the to drunk to walk body carrier.

But to answer your question...MOST DEFINATELY!

I was probably the only soldier in the entire VTO that wasn't drunk on his a$$ 90% of the time...lol
