How to choose a cabinet...

It seems President Bush went on a trip to England and had a visit with the Queen.  During the visit, Bush asked Her Majesty "How do you get such excellent members of your Parliament?  I would give anything to have such excellent people on my staff."

"Simple" says the Queen.  "Before approving any member, I ask them a riddle.  If they get it right, I know they can do the job.  Watch, I'll show you"

The Queen picks up the phone, says a few words, and in walks Tony Blair.

"Mr Blair" the Queen says "Your father and your mother both have a son, but he is not your brother.  Who is he?"

"Simple," the PM replied "it is me."

"Amazing," says Bush.  "I'll try that when I get home!"

The Pres. returns to the White House and immediately calls for Dick Cheney.  "Cheney," he says "Your father and your mother both have a son, but he is not your brother.  Who is he?"

Cheney thinks about it for a moment, and says "Let me think about that one for a few minutes."

After leaving the room, Cheney goes to his office and calls Colin Powell who suggests "It's you of course!"

Cheney returns to the Pres, and proudly steps up and says "It's me!"
