Probably more than enough to make the average passenger soil themselves twice over.........

Matt
Back in the very early 60's my parents and I were flying on an Eastern Airline 4 engine prop (may have been a DC-7B).
My dad was more afraid of heights than anyone I've ever known. We went through a thunderstorm over Georgia and a bolt went down right beside us and lit up the inside of the aircraft. I seriously thought that my dad had a heart attack. He turned white as a ghost and was sweating profusely. I asked my mom, "Is dad dead?" She looked at him and said, "Not yet?" When we landed they slammed on the brakes and we thought that we were going out through the cockpit; dad wasn't amused....

Heck, I remember taking my first flight on the brand new Eastern Airlines Boeing 727 Whisperjet. Dad hated it....
