Simulated Flights

Postby Flying Trucker » Sat Aug 25, 2012 4:59 am

Goodly morning all.... :)

Recently I purchased several West Coast ORBX Sceneries and a couple of Payware Aircraft.

Just got this electronic gizmo (that I am sure hates me) up and running reasonably well or well enough to keep it from the bottom of the river... :)

I always used the Microsoft Flight Simulator Programs from FS98 up to FSX as Instrument Training Aids and consider them a pretty good game.

Now what I am trying to accomplish are some fly-in camping trips with a good little amphibious bug smasher.

I have started off with the Cessna 185 Amphibian as could not find another amphibian a little smaller that was freeware.

Hello Doug...

I suppose it depends on what you mostly use the Flight Simulator for, and specialise in, eg;

(a) Flying...(pretending to fly aeroplanes!)..and just admiring the surrounding scenery in the process.... :-*...!
(b) Taking Amazing Screen Shots!.... :D...!

I always stick to (a), and very occasionally press "Print Screen" just to show that I am still awake!... ;)...!

Paul...FS 2004...(and pretending to fly aeroplanes)... ;D...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

I personally do both,I enjoy the scenery and when I see what could be a nice shot (usualy takeoff at bowerman ::)) I pause it,look for a nice angle, unpause and continue flying. ;)

If you have a spare button on your flight stick, you could move the screen shot on to that. Then you dont need to look down on the board ;)

I too mostly pause the flight.

Just a note.
"My first shot I posted of this camping trip in my opinion is a disaster, it is the take-off from Misty's Place in Alaska and the ground detail is awful."

Its a good idea to let the scenery, inside fsx, gets an update, every time you change/omits anything that has to do with sceneries ;)
