Not to mention the most delayed memorial in history!

A fine event. One picture in the Daily MFail summed it up for me - Wg Cdr Jimmy Flint DFC GM, who at 99 is possibly one of the last WW2 Bomber Sqn commanders still alive. He was awarded the George Medal as a Sgt pilot attempting to rescue his Navigator from a sinking Hampden in the north sea.
