I like to keep track of what is going on in the military world even after all this time.
Bravery of that level is a rare thing and I think needs a wider audience. I've had the pleasure of dinner with some Gurkhas some years back (read about 20) and they are wonderful people. I also had the joy of watching two "hard men" get beaten to a pulp by three off-duty Gurkhas in Beaconsfield in a pub many years ago for accusing them of being "Japs". Just about the worst thing to say to a Gurkha, or the best if you want any teeth you possess removed.... suddenly
