I bought X-Plane 9 and I have FS9 as well as FSX. I HATED X-plane. I will stop myself from going on a rant why, but about the flight dynamics: It is documented that the aerodynamics in X-plane do NOT look at body interactions or other factors that alter each part of the aircraft's aerodynamics. Thus if you want to replicate a specific aircraft, the MSFS series is reputed to be better. They can claim X-plane has better flight dynamics because it actually calculates the forces, moments, drag, etc. You can actually turn on pressure plots and force vectors in X-plane to see it all around the plane...still I have many reasons why I hate it..but I will spare you.

Tailwinds,

Adam...sticking with FS2004 for a long while

From what I can see its an odd situation.

I think X-pane has a bigger chance of mistakes due to it calculating it,what about weight distribution? is that calculated?
And they say:'I use payware so its far better then default FSX',when I saw that I was like:.....TRY FSX PAYWARE ITS PROBABLY 10 TIMES MORE REAL THEN X-PAIN!,don't buy abacus tough...

Exactly jetprop! Accurate flight dynamics take a long long time to calculate. There is simply no way they are doing it accurately in real-time. There HAS to be a lot of give in the authenticity of the flight dynamics. What it does allow for though is better interaction between the aircraft and the weather as in crosswinds and turbulence. Still, I had such a horrid experience with X-Plane 9 I gave it away to the first class mate that asked about it!
