Hi Chuck.... :)

One of the first things we did...

Darn thing is the computer says everything is OK and there are no red flags anywhere... :o

Did you plug in headphones to see if they worked? :)

throwing in my 2 cents worth - you don't have a check mark in a box marked muted in your speakers sound system,,, do you ??? or what happened to me a month ago,,,, I had accidently hit the mute button on my keyboard,,, Duhhhh and wasn't getting any sound till I hit the unmute button. All your cables in the back hooked up properly ??

I am wondering if I should just install FSX and the Service Packs rather than FSX Acceleration Expansion Pack as I do not fly the aircraft in the Acceleration Pack.

You can always install SP1 and SP2 at first. Then in future you'll be able to install Acceleration after simply removing the SP2, if needed.

Also am waiting for MS Flight to become available and I might forget about FSX altogether....not sure.... :)

For now, MS Flight is scheduled to be the biggest failure of the 21st century.
Until MS change its politics and finally decides to offer a SDK to third-party developpers (freeware addons makers, that is), this game has absolutely nothing to offer to the simmers, and will keep being ridiculous when compared to FSX.
So no, you don't need to worry about Flight at all.

Thanks Jetranger...

I am using a Logitech G15 Keyboard and the Mute button shows OFF by looking at the Icon of the Speaker at the bottom right corner of my monitor.

Have checked the cables several times.

Starting to think it is the Sound Card as all I get is Static from the speakers or headphones.

Thanks Stephane... ;)

Once he gets here near the end of this week with a new sound card I will go the route you have suggested... :)

Oh and Stephane...you better crawl back into bed and cover head... ;D
Guess who is going to be getting some PMs and E-Mails once I get this sound back and running.
