The psychology of forums

Postby Steve M » Sun Nov 06, 2011 5:58 pm

I came across this and found it interesting. It's a six page article about forum members and behavior patterns. Thank goodness Simv forums are well moderated.

"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!" - Sen. John Blutarsky

You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I don't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, 1969

Very interesting topic.  Thank goodness we don't have to worry about any of that thanks to all the good moderators and administrators.  (And of course, the modify button ::))  Good job you guys!

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Very interesting read. That's what I like about this forum, the magority of the members here at Sim V are very polite, knowledgeable, respectful, friendly, helpfull and over all mature, and have good morals. And Thank You Pete, and all you Mods, for making Simviation what it is today and in the future! Cheers! [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=birthdays.gif] [smiley=beer.gif]

Thank you for your faith in us Steve. :)

We all have faith Lieutenant.

[quote]Very interesting topic.
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

SimV is, although it also has its lesser gloryful times, a really nice place to be :)
The V can't avoid some "crisis" with some of the members here, but it's all about keeping that "crisis" time as small as possible, because there will always be some members disagreeing with forums politics.
Nevertheless, Pete and the Mod team are doing a great jobs in keeping law & order in store here at the forums  8-)

Cheers Theis
