Hawaiian/Aloha Shirts

Postby ozzy72 » Tue Sep 06, 2011 1:50 pm

Am I the only person here who loves 'em? Some of my colleagues have been questioning my sanity, but as they wear cheap imitation check cowboy shirts I feel happy with calling them Brokeback [smiley=evil.gif] [smiley=evil.gif] [smiley=evil.gif]
Anyone? Bermuda shorts I also rate very highly 8-)

I have a few in my wardrobe. One bright orange one with palm trees I have, can probably be seen from the space station.  8-)

I wondered why you wound up in my neck of the woods some decades ago but, pray tell, not with the Bermudas...
Imagine wandering through our brush, trees and briars in those...

I remember a buddy referring to being out in the pucka (?) bushes and way out in the giggly weeds....

I have a few - but I live in Florida.

You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I don't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, 1969

I've found this great shop in Kent that does some lovely ones, if I win the lottery on Friday (or even tonight) I think I'll be spending a day shopping 8-)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

The colloquial term may sound like 'pucka' in the old New England iteration; actually, it's pucker brush (also pecker brush), describing wild scrub bushes, small evergreens and the like, that tend to scratch about the trodders ankles, sometimes embedding nettles in ones pants, socks or their nettles often fall into ones shoes or low-cut boots; quite iritating, especially in the latter instance.
