Thursday: A 50 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Partly sunny. Windy, with a north wind between 20 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Thursday Night: A 50 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 77. Windy, with a west wind around 22 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Isn't that a little fast?

Its Huge!!! :o and now its in category 3 and its also causing strange weather (cold & rainy ) In my country

has the size of Katrina

Venezuela. By the swirl on the map it looks like Irene is being fed from northern South America.

that hurricane actualy affects the weather in europe,or so they say.
there was a massive high pressure area just next to ireland but it would not move,the hurricane probably pushes it towards ireland and mainland gets low pressure.
finally good weather in ireland,but realy realy bad weather in north america.
it is probably early morning in america(i am in a different timezone)  so you will probably not be bothered reading this far.
