We are just getting ready to head up to the bugsmasher field to help get things ready for our Canada Day celebrations....
-fly in breakfast...pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs...etc
-childrens games
-best looking bug smasher...this will be hard as everyone
was here yesterday cleaning and polishing
-spot landing contest
-flour bombing
-BBQ...hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, salads, home made desserts...etc
Last year we roasted a whole pig on the spit over an open fire and there was a lot of food left over so this year we will do the pig roast later and combine it with a fresh corn on the cob event.
Some of the Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezers will show off their musical skills by playing their various musical instruments and singing (good grief...
) around a large wood campfire (hope they don't burn the club house or a hangar down... )We have a (Drunk) Bus that takes members and guests back and forth to their homes...that has worked well the last several years and the company puts on three buses later in the evening...
No drinking and driving here...
Canada will be celebrating 144 years with the wonderful presence of the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge (William and Catherine) in Ottawa, our nations capital.
That will be huge...

We wanted to invite Prince William and Princess Kate here today who by the way got a welcome yesterday that showed the Monarchy is very much alive in Canada and our Military says that will not change...well done Military...
Anyways the politicians had these two wonderful folks booked in Ottawa....HMMM....
....they probably would have more fun here....
