"A bit of a pickle" - British translation: A catastrophically bad situation with potentially fatal consequences.

B1 (Cat C) licenced engineer, Boeing 737NG 600/700/800/900 Airbus A318/19/20/21 and Dash8 Q-400
1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

This reminded me of an old joke -

Maine Winters
Some engineers from the U.S.G.S. surveyed some property and found that in a area, the New Hampshire and Maine border must be changed. They stopped to inform a farmer that he was no longer in Maine, but in New Hampshire.

After a long pause, he grunted and said, "That's good. I couldn't take another one of those Maine winters."

A Google spokesman said that while it strives to make its maps accurate, "by no means should they be used as a reference to decide military actions between two countries".

I wonder if they'll include that in the Google Maps legal section from now on? ;D

Your just stating facts, Alex.  ;)

It's true that Costa Rica doesn't have an "official" military, and that they have a relatively healthy economy.

This is an interesting series of events. Google provoked a war....how about that.  ;D

I'm amazed Google has become that influential! A little scary when you think about it.
