2 week break!

Postby tcco94 » Fri Sep 24, 2010 5:43 pm

Not many schools do this but mine does. I just started my 2 week break today, we start school at the end of July so we get out 2 week break now. Many of you guys know me for being a Navy wannabe ;D, and ive been wanting to go to the Naval Academy for 2 years now. Ive kinda just lost my hopes because I dont really have the grades to get into the Naval Academy but my mom and I will be visiting Annapolis tommrow for 4 days. Ill finally get to see the Naval Academy!

Ill be sure to show some pics when I get back. Im very excited!  :D :D :D

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

You can always enlist, get your degree, and go officer through the MECEP program.  Navy academy isn't your only option at being an officer in the squids!

Well, I want to go a 4 year college which is why ive never put enlisting into my options. I know you can go through college that way but it doesnt interest me at all to do it that way, id rather go to a 4 year and do ROTC or the Naval Academy. After visiting there, ive learned alot more. I dont think I ahve the resume to get into the Naval Academy but I know that 30% of incoming freshman came into the Academy from other options because they couldnt get in there first try. The second best option is the Prepatory School if they allow you to go there....but they tell all the people considering going into the academy that they must know what there getting into because its a hard 4 years, but your plebe year will defiantly be the hardest and your gunna have to learn to give up stuff and adapt to new learning methods and stay away from the outside world because you dont have time.

Something interesting I found out was that 90% of the freshman accepted played some sort of Varsity Sport in high school, and on average each midshipmen spends around 2-3 hours a day of physical activity. Then to squeeze studying and classes into that schedule. Id love to attend the school, its campus is just beautiful and just thinking of being a midshipmen sounds like something id wanna do, but im not sure if im fully dedicated to wanna go to the academy...I have backup options also and they like kids who want to go to the academy and wont give up trying no matter how many times they need to apply.
