I went outside, in the dark, a little while ago, bent my head upwards at a crazy angle to look at the sky...

...and fell backwards, flat on my back and bumped my head on the ground...

So that was the end of that futile exercise!.... :'(...!

The Perseid Meteor Shower has got a lot to answer for... >:(...!

I'll wait for some Photos/videos tomorrow instead....

...if my headache is better... ::)...!

Paul....tell me about it tomorrow....ZZZZzzzzz.....Image

I got to see a few of the brighter ones, the nearby city lights really made it hard to see in my area.

Whatever part of the World we are located in, it would be very nice to be told which direction to look in....

...someone telling me to look in the direction of the Constellation of Zorg, doesn't help me a lot!... :(...!

North, South, East, or West would be a much bigger help!

Paul....Compass in hand... ;)... ;)...!

Where is the Constipation Constellation of Zorg, anyway?... ::)... ;)... ;D...!

[color=#0000ff][i]If it is clear on the 11th to 14th of August, one will have a chance of seeing the meteors in the Perseid Meteor Shower - the year's most dependable meteor shower.

Good morning all... :)

Well we had the telescope ready and several pair of binoculars at hand.

The sky was clear, lots of stars, no problem with lighting and we know several neighbours and family members were also scanning the sky.

The old girl went to bed about 01:45 disappointed she saw nothing and I turned in about 02:30 disappointed I saw nothing.

Have not heard of anyone seeing anything around here and there was nothing in the newspapers.  Have not talked to family members yet so not sure if any of them had better luck than us.

What got us interested was they talked about this all day on the Weather Network and one of the local radio stations.

I am not sure but perhaps we turned in too early, maybe we should have waited until 04:00.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
