[color=#000000]Old, very old. I remember every single one. Red Skelton was one of best ever. I have two of his videos. He never failed to bring a smile to my face.
And I wanted both an Erector Set and Lincoln Logs, but never got either. And I probably could not afford one in mint condition now.

I'm 27 and I remember a few of those. In fact Jiffy Pop is still around. When I was a kid, I wanted tinker toys and Lincoln logs, I got an erector set instead. Don't get me wrong, it was cool, I built all kinds of stuff.

It just occurred to me that there may be a connection between the erector set and my career choice. If I had gotten Lincoln logs instead would I have become a construction worker rather than a mechanic? What about tinker toys? an engineer? :-?

A lot of these things are unfamiliar to me. Living on the other side of the Pond my memories are somewhat different.

Over this side of the Pond, only these out of the list ring a bell...
(All the rest are purely American).

Green Stamps. (In a drawer, somewhere)
Metal ice cube trays. (Still in my 'fridge).
Reel-to-reel tape recorders. (Still got some).
Brownie camera.
Flash bulbs.
Ding-dong, Avon calling.
Brylcreem. (Still using it for my hair!).
Aluminium Christmas trees. (Got one in the loft, folded flat).

Paul...76 years of memories...and collecting (useless) things!... ;D...!

Well I know a bit about the metal ice cubes because I have used them a bit. The others I know about but never experienced firsthand.  :(

I remember all of them.. :(
Except the first McDonalds hamburgers were 12 cents I believe. My dad rented storage space to Ray Crock when there was only one McDonalds. And yes I had a hamburger there with my dad. Served to us by Ray himself! The menu board only had a couple of items on it at the time.

I remember quite a few of these items, but Tinkertoys and Lincoln Logs brings back memories. My Mom loved Green Stamps.

I agree with Larry about Marlin Perkins. Wild Kingdom (sponsored by Mutual of Ohama Insurance, (thank you, long-term memory)) was a must watch when I was young. I have some DVDs of this show on Australian Wildlife.

Drive-in Movies: Oh where do I start? Saw a few John Wayne movies, including "True Grit", "Support Your Local Sheriff" with James Garner, Herbie the Love Bug Movies, The Poseidon Adventure (the original), and get this, I actually remember watching "Love Story" on the big screen.
