Ruddy tea-leaves!

Postby ozzy72 » Mon Jun 28, 2010 10:30 am

Got to the station this morning to find my beloved mountain bike has been stolen! I'm beyond angry and the Transport Police quite frankly have been less use than a kick in the head ::)
I HATE Mondays....

Hi Mark... :)

Sorry to read that.

Did you have insurance on it or would it be covered under your home insurance policy?

How often does that happen there, do they not have station camera's and security guards watching monitors for just such things?

I hope you get it back.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Just be thankful they're only once a week. ;)

Commiserations, Mark...

Bad news, when you find that your pride and joy Bike has been nicked.... >:(...!

I can vividly remember the day I woke up, 13 years ago, to observe just a faint oil stain where my beloved Honda CBR 600 Motor-bike used to be parked in my front garden....
...I have never got over it... :'(...!

Never traced....

Sorry for your loss Mark. I know you really liked that bike. Did you put some type of identification down the tube below the seat? They (thieves) seldom think to look there. Sometimes they manage to remove the serial number which, if ever recovered make it difficult for the Police to identify the owner. Just a copy of the sales receipt with your contact information on it in a plastic sleeve rolled up and pushed down the tube really helps.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Next time you leave your bike at the station unscrew the seat and steering pin. You'll find the thief next to your beloved bicycle. As good as new, only a few teeth missing...

I can't believe after more than 2 years and almost 10,000 miles together my bike and I have been separated by some scrote!
Needless to say I've not been sitting on my bum and already feelers are out to recover my beloved Dick Turpin (so called as he held up SUV's on country lanes ;D). I've got both policeman friends and people from the other side of the law looking.
When I catch up with these people they'll discover a whole new use for bricks in contraception.... one that'll permanently stop them from polluting the gene pool.
Only good thing working in a pub on the weekends, there are some VERY shady people that'll be glad to help you out.
I just can't believe anyone would nick my bike, there were bikes worth 10 times as much that were just as vulnerable.
I think the bit that hurts most is that I'd just done all the bearings, fitted new cranks and front gears when I might just as well have burnt the
