[color=#000000]Yes boys & girls, it's that time of year again, hurricane season. Alex is somewhere down around the Yucatan headed for the Mexico/TexicoTexas border, give or take a few miles. But we are already getting the outer rain

bands, which, so far have not really been near enough. But right now it is a bit cooler than it has been lately, a welcome respite. But, there's always a 'but' isn't there, having lived in hurricane central for sixty-one years, I

know there is always a chance that this one could stall out, gather strength, and change his destination more our way. And Texas, like Louisiana, Florida, and us (Mississippi), have had more than our share. I still remember

the 'results' of Camille, Frederick, and Katrina. But for now, it appears we will only get some rain out of Alex. Here's hoping.

PS: Hey Roy, as if you didn't already know, get ready to batten the hatch.

Its times like that, when I see the total destruction of property "over there", with hurricanes and tornadoes on the news, etc, that I am grateful for our British, temperate, mostly quiet, climate.

The worst thing I experience, is the occasional Earthquake and Wild Fire during my daily "flights?" around the State of California.... :o....!

That's more than enough excitement for me, on a daily basis!... ;)...!

Take care, all you Folks in the Bible Tornado/Hurricane Belt!....
...keep us posted...;)...!

Paul..... 8-)...!

I can say with quite a bit of certainty, that I do not want the remnants of that storm making it up here.  :(

At the rate we're getting storms and rain here, I'll never get my basement dry.  ::)

The last time a hurricane's aftermath made it this far, we lost power for 3 weeks, a lot of trees in the neighborhood, and all of my neighbor's roofing wound up in my backyard.

;D ;D ;D

Don't forget to check the hurricanes out in FS, sometimes, the real world weather does a nice job of portraying them. ;)

Katrina was enough for me.  I do still have a lot of family on the coast though, so I still track the storms.

Its pretty quiet up here in the panhandle of florida. getting a good bit of rain, but very much welcomed cooler air. The very very outer bands of Alex have been passing by today. I've been here almost 4 years now, and have not yet gone through a hurricane (knock on wood).
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.
