A strange coffin

I don't know whether this should disturb me, or fascinate me...

Does anyone know anything about this picture?

It was in some hate mail I received this morning.  :-/

I did find this..

A comment: The craftsmen who built this really knew how to convey a message because the positions of the engines would actually put you 6 feet under. Pushing up Daisies!

Now the thought of having telephones on planes is made less of a stupid idea  ;D

Slightly strange coffin, but hey ho, it's something to be remembered by.

You'd need one hell of a sarcophagus into which to put that thing. I was watching a Mythbusters episode during which they put Jamie into a steel casket and put several feet of dirt onto it. The casket began to crush. They had to get him out of there before it completely caved in. That airplane casket would have to be put into a huge concrete vault or it would flatten in no time...

Because of the width, unless they removed the wings, it would require at least three burial plots; expensive, and hard to come by in some locales.
Not quite as bad as having your pet buried with you, especially if it outlived you. Personally, I think the whole bit is a waste of money. If I'm dead, I don't care what they put my remains in. I'd rather the money go to my kids and grandkids.

The Ryanair version, you would have to pay for the extra leg room ;D ;D

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

There was a woman that was buried in a 1964 250GT Ferrari - http://italiansupercars.blogspot.com/2007/08/woman-buried-in-ferrari.html - It can also be Googled

One of my uncles favorite says was, "You'll never see an armored car following a hearse."

Well, I was sitting on my mom's front porch just watching traffic. When I see a hearse go by. I'll be darned if right behind it was a Wells Fargo armored car. I darn near laugh my ass right off the porch. I was so po'ed I didn't have my camera with me. But then again, I doubt I could have gotten it ready fast enough to catch the pair in traffic.

Here's the perfect hearse for a motorcycle lover - Image

Now that is just cool Rom. Absolutely gorgeous. The hearse looks like an old time horse drawn that has been restored. If so, it has to be worth a lot.

KLM probably isn't using this in any of their advertising.

The strange things we do for the dead.

That is a pretty disturbing casket. First of them I've seen. :o

Coffins like this are very normal in Ghana. They reflect the life of the dead person inside. Or at least the life he/she wanted to have.

Reminds me of this:

http://www.weirdnj.com/index.php?option ... &Itemid=28

I got to see this while contracting with Exxon back in 1997. The story as I remember it is that there is a real Mercedes buried beneath the monument. No, the body isn't buried in it. It's placed in the mausoleum nearby.
