An interesting article on a romantic wolf.

That is an amazing story, and a sad ending.

Great story, except for the disappearance of course.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

It doesn't surprise me, except for the fact that Romeo was not more wary of people.
This is how the whole "dog thing" began... wild canines curious about the activities of humans, and vice-versa. This became a partnership that was instrumental in the continued survival of humans, IMHO.

[color=#000000]Which makes one query the etymology of the phrase "going to the dogs".

Did we "go to the dogs" or did dogs "go to the humans"?

I have read some stories that domenstication may have started between 12 and 14 thousand years ago.

Curiousity bewteen the species probably had something to do with it, but more likely survival played a bigger role for both. I think that man was a lot more "animal" back then anyway, which probably made it easier.

Any of the advanced species that have developed symbiotic relationships fascinate me. But Man and Dog is certainly unique. Certainly more intersting than cat

Either that or Dog figured out that the funny looking  finger on hairless apes allowed it to give really good tummy rubs, and figured he should work to help them survive, ensuring good tummy rubs for him, his litter, and his litter's litter.
