Sinkhole formed? Does this sound SciFi to you or does is sound real?

A massive hole, caused by rains from the tropical storm Agatha, has appeared in Guatemala City. The storm has killed at least 146 people since the weekend as emergency workers struggled to dig bodies out of the mud.

It actually is possible for sink holes to form, like this too I think.
I did a little research and found so deep ones via google images.

It's happened before, even in places like NYC. A few years back, a rather deep hole opened right in the middle of 5th Avenue (water main failed, and the water undermined all the fill). First water shot out, then flames when a gas main broke, as well.
Only in New York...

They happen in Florida fairly regularly. Although the biggest I can recall swallowed just a house and a car.... :-/

That overhead view of the crater doesn't look right to me, did they black out the bottom in photoshop for some reason (perhaps to hide bodies, or to make the hole look even deeper)?

I've got a Sinkhole...

It occasionally get blocked by used tea bags, potato peelings, ...and an excess of breakfast Porridge... ...!
