Good Golly, Miss Molly...R.I.P.

Postby JoBee » Thu May 27, 2010 3:47 pm

...I lost a very dear friend today.

I would like to share with you a few pictures.

....Miss Molly.

Molly and my son are in the background playing a game closely related to musical chairs.

If you think an ILS approach to minimums with a stiff crosswind is hard, try to convince a hard-headed, stubborn Siberian Husky (they're all that way) to sit somewhere it doesn't want to just because the music stopped. Last bottom to hit a pad is out!

Temps that day were in the upper 80's, low 90's so this is truly one hot dog.

My son trying to be creative with the camera.

I will miss that big white face, those ice-blue eyes, the ever-present smile.

Thanks for allowing me this.

cheers,
Joe

Thank you for the comments, they help.

P.S.....how old?

13 1/2, we adopted her when she was 8.

Every year the Husky rescue group has a picnic, which is where these are from.

It's hard to describe being around a big group of Huskies. One starts howling and before you know it the whole group is singing along.

cheers,
Joe

Looks like a nice dog, I'm very sorry about you're loss. I've had pets my whole life and I know how it feels. Just remember the good times, and the pain of the loss will heal with time.

Sorry for your loss Joe. Molly was one beautiful animal. I've always thought Husky and Malemute was the most beautiful and friendly breed there is. My son had a Malemute that was awesome but he kept jumping the fence and my son let a family living in a rural area adopt him. Better than getting run over or poisoned in town.

13 - 1/2....

That seems about the average lifetime of a domestic Dog....

15 years is pushing it...

...any longer than that and they suffer from all sorts of crippling complaints...similar to us!... :'(...!

Very sorry to hear about Molly... but all we want for them is to live long and well, and be happy, so be satisfied that you helped make that happen.  :)
