I built static models, Revell, etc. about fifty years ago. Had a B-58, B-52, F-100 that I can remember, plus a number of hot rods, including a candy purple '62 Corvette. I flew control line with my Dad for a while. He later got into RC, and though I would have liked to, never did. I did get to fly some of his every once in a while. Now I need to help my Mom sell them.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Mitch, is that the Hasegawa 72nd Neptune? I have one of those in my stash, but it's an experimental Japanese version. Will have to get RAAF decals for it.

This one was a Revell kit. Came with decals for Netherlands or US Navy versions, naturally I chose the US Navy version. Picture VH-IOY colour scheme but with NAVY stickers, will have to post snaps of it later. ;)

Do you have any twin engined radials in your stash, I could give them a good home? :)

I have quite a few aircraft in my stash in the moment. But, being totally bogged down by school work, it looks like they won't get built for another five years, and by that time, they'll have moved from Australia to the UK. Might need an Antonov to move them all, though!

These are all the notable kits in my stash:

- 1/144 Revell E-4B
- 1/144 Revell British Airways 747-400 (Landor)
- 1/144 Revell An-124
- 1/144 Airfix VC-10
- 1/48 Revell F-15E
- 1/32 Revell Mirage III

I plan on buying seven more of those Revell Antonovs...so that I can build examples of Volga Dnepr, VVS and Aeroflot birds with wheels up/down and nose and tail doors open/closed.

Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you.
You''ll need an entire room to display them :o

I need a room to store what is waiting to be built;

1/32 Nimrod
1/32 Phantom
1/32 Stuka
1/8 Mercedes roadster (by Pocher)
1/8 Bugatti T50 Surprofil engine (Pocher)
1/8 Volvo F16 truck engine (Pocher)
1/8 Corvette (Revell)
1/18 AC Cobra (old Airfix)
1/24 F40 (Protar)
1/3 Honda 750 engine (Minicraft)
1/32 Zero (Hasagawa)
Billing boat kit Blue Nose
1/48 B1 (Revell)
USS Andrew Jackson (forgot the scale and the company)

There are a couple more, but that would involve putting on my shoes and going to my work workshop and it is raining!

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

1/48 B1 (Revell)

Lucky bugger, that thing is impossible to find now. It seems like all the glorious Revell oddities are disappearing - 1/72 Peacemaker, 1/72 Space Shuttle, 1/48 B-1B, 1/144 E-4B, 1/144 KC-10 etc...

Mitch, the only twin radial I have in my stash is that Neptune. In general, just a fan of modern jets. ;)

I bought it several years ago. I buy models that grab me for some reason or another and then stash them away. By the time I retire there should be enough to keep me going for years.............Better gather whist you can, I am not relying on my pension plan(s) to do anything except be able to buy the basics  :-?

It has stopped raining and a quick check of my workshop corner shows I missed;

1/8 Citroen Avant (Hellar)
1/12 F16 cockpit
1/12 F104 cockpit
1/6 PAK 3.7cm canon (Dragon)
1/8 Ferrari F40 (Pocher)

I once had a ceiling looking similar to that, except they were 1/48-scale WW2 planes (Mitsubishi Zeroes, Raiden; Kawasaki Tony; Grumman F4F, F6F, F8F; Messerschmitt 109; Curtiss Warhawk; N.A. Mustang B & D; Hawker Hurricane, Tempest; Supermarine Spitfire and a number of others).

Overlord_Chris, I love that E-4B!

Is that the Herpa 1/400 scale hangar? And near it, would that be the Gemini Jets 1/400 C-17 (March AFB)?

That E-4B took 9 months to track down, the first time I had it on order, the place that was making it, Phuket Thailand got hit by the Tsunami, so they refunded my money, and took many Emails to finally find some one that had it in stock, same goes for the ABL too.

Yes and Yes to both :D I was trying to get all the C-17 for every base, but believe it or not I can't find my own base any place. As of now I have: March, Edwards, Dover, Hickham, Alaska, Canada, and Royal Australian Air Force

Roger (HawkerTempest) has an air force at home! No kiddin'!!!

Yes, if I ever wanted to take over the world in 1/48 scale, I'd be unstopable! ;) ;D I've posted loads of pics over the years so I'm not going to post them all again but here's a peek at my latest creation :).
