Its oh so quite!!

Anyone else notice how quite it is in the UK without all the air traffic??     Its sooo weird...   to me at least...

Its been quite noisey here today, had a couple of vintage raidials flying about but alas i never had my camera with me to snap them :(

Had one heading north-south over us today ....... a red one ..... couldn't make out much else as it was a fair distance away...... possibly one of the ones you've seen John.

A very important point for all the car owners amongst us. If you get volcanic ash on your windscreen do not under any circumstances (unless avoiding a crash) use your wipers with or without water. Volcanic ash will scratch your screen quicker than you can say "oh phuq it". You need a dry soft cloth to dust it off.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Weather service predicts that the stuff will fall down in UK and around saturday afternoon and sunday

That would work, but I tend to leave my compressor at home as it requires 220v, is loud and would take up all the boot ;D

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
