That Google is not your friend for the entire time I have been a member here. I detest the way they save and sell your history, and I want them to mend thier ways, so do a few others..

PS: I now never Google anything..I use other search engines.  :) Google saves your info for infinity. Other search engines usually dump your info after 4 or 5 months.

Should there be more privacy laws in place to bring these giants to thier knees?

Yeah, but Google FINDS EVERYTHING! I once Googled the name of a old friend from gradeschool, and wouldn't ya know it! Heck, I've even found myself using Google as a spellching tool. ::)

Don't get me wrong, online privacy is a real issue that everyone should be concerned with. I found this search engine a long time ago. Doesn't produce anywhere NEAR the amount of results that Google does, but it's usually pretty effective.

We should exploit the fact that they save information for so long and all Google something stupid over and over again. Screw their statisics all kinds of up!  ;) ;D ;D

That article appears to be about Google Buzz & Street View. I've never been happy with the security on social networking sites but that's a different subject. There's always been an option on the normal search engine not to send personal browsing information back to Google. I obviously don't know if this works as advertised.

Didn't read the article, but I remember hearing something a while back about how one of those streetview images helped to nab a couple muggers. I've seen the "Googlemobile" a few times in my neighborhood taking pictures for the streetview thing, but never though much of it.

Sorry to get so far off topic, I was a bit tired. :-[

I saw a Google car here last year. I don't know why I don't trust Google. It's much more than Streetview or Buzz. I suppose Googles complete disrespect for us little people is part of my lack of trust. Every time they launch a new platform, it seems they have to be forced to make privacy changes. I think if any one of us really new the truth, the whole truth, we would be shocked.

OK.. I'll stop complaining now, for a while.     ;)
